An exhibition of posters highlighting environmental issues has received a warm welcome from students and art lovers at Government College University (TOS) Lahore. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi inaugurated the exhibition organized by the Biological Society of the university.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Zaidi said that GCU is in the process of formulating a policy to make its campus environmentally friendly. He said they have banned the use of plastic bags on campus and are now encouraging their students to use electric motorcycles. He appreciated that the students not only highlighted environmental problems such as pollution, water scarcity, climate change, plastic waste and threats to biodiversity, but also tried to come up with solutions. through their posters.
Students from different colleges and universities exhibited up to 30 posters at GCU Abdus Salam Hall.
